Annette has always had a passion in the nursing profession. She studied in Denver, and then attended the Colorado State University and graduated with her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing in 2008.  She worked as a Medical Oncology Nurse at Swedish Medical Center in Denver. After several years as a Registered Nurse she decided to pursue her passion of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.  She graduated from Regis University in Denver from their Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2013.  Since obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree, she has worked as a Hospitalist, Neurovascular, and Peripheral Vascular Nurse Practitioner, serving various hospitals in the Denver area. Understanding that prevention is key in any aspect and care of life she enjoys educating her patients on prevention, and improving and maintaining healthy functional lives. She applies these same foundations to the skin care industry, in which she has been finding joy in working in the last several years. In 2015 she attended the Esthetic Skin Institute and obtained a certificate of training in the Art and Science of administering Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox, Dysport, and Xenomin), and Dermal Fillers. She has since continued to add to her long list of services, all with the goal of achieving a healthy and more natural appearance, with anti-aging benefits. She believes that caring for your skin / face and preventing wrinkles / fine lines earlier will help keep everyone looking more healthy, youthful, and more confident.

 How do Botox and Xeomin work?

They both work by reducing muscle activity by blocking receptors in the muscle so the muscles are not getting the signals from the brain to contract. This process causes a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, and as these products wear off the receptors on the muscle become open and active again with contraction of muscles once again.

Are there any side effects of Botox Cosmetic and Xeomin?

Most side effects, if any, are mild and go away on their own within a few days. Common side effects are mild bruising, redness at the injection site, headache, and nausea.

Is there any downtime for Botox Cosmetic of Xeomin injections?

Very little to no downtime. It is recommended that you do not lay down, of do any vigorous workouts x 4 hours after injections.

Do Botox Cosmetic and Xeomin injections hurt?

Most patients feel a slight pinch at the injection site. We can help reduce this with topically applying ice packs.

When will I see results from my Botox Cosmetic or Xeomin injections?

In as little as 3 days, with optimal anti-aging effects that can take up to 10 days.

How long does Botox Cosmetic and Xeomin last?

These injectables are not permanent. Each person will vary based on individual metabolism, usually anywhere from 3-5months.

How do dermal fillers work?

They work by adding volume to different areas of the face for a fuller and smoother appearance.

What are the side effects of dermal fillers?

Most side effects if any disappear on their own within a few days. Some patients can have swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site.

Do dermal filler injections hurt?

Everyone has their own pain tolerance. To help minimize pain we offer only products that have lidocaine mixed in them, and we apply a topical medical grade numbing cream 30 minutes prior to help ease any discomfort.

Is there any downtime with dermal filler injections?

There is little to no downtime, so patients can resume their activity after injections.

Does Platelet Rich Plasma or Micro-Needling treatments hurt?

Everyone has their own pain tolerance. To help minimize pain we offer topical medical grade numbing cream 30 minutes prior to treatments to help ease any discomfort.

How does Kybella work?

Kybella is identical to something your body makes called deoxycholic acid, which helps absorb fats. It works by destroying fat cells.
